L'art Plissé Table Lamp is a modern interpretation of traditional pleating techniques. This sculptural series of fixtures challenges the delicate art of pleating, drawing inspiration from pleated fashion. The lamp's design incorporates pleats in both the base and shade. Originally created for the 2020 Stockholm exhibition "L'art Plissé," artist Roland Hjort designed unique patterns for the lamps. L'art Plissé has received notable recognition, with nominations for the 2021 Swedish Design Award by Rum and the Dezeen Awards. In 2022, "Lárt Plissé" was honored with Residence's prestigious lighting design award.
Founded in 2005, Folkform, led by designers Chandra Ahlsell and Anna Lovisa Holmquist, evolved from their collaboration while studying industrial design at Konstfack in Stockholm. Folkform’s work is represented in the collections of the Swedish National Museum in Stockholm and the Nasjonalmuseet in Oslo. In 2019, Folkform won the Bruno Mathsson Award, the most prestigious design prize in the Nordic countries. In 2023 Folkform won the Scandinavian Design Awards as designers of the year.
